My relative Tyrenn aka “Ty” had the regalia pictured in this photo stolen from him in 2022. As many of you know, an immense amount of love and attention to detail goes into making a set like the one Ty is wearing.

His parents, family, and community have since been able to help him with getting him new regalia. They had a special for him this past summer at the Rocky Boy Powwow in Montana to introduce his new set and bring him back into dancing in a good way.

A portion of the proceeds will go towards Ty as a collaborator and to his parents who make many sacrifices for their children. The image will continue to be a reminder of the beautiful Indigenous teachings at the heart of dancing. As Ty explains, his intention is "to dance for the ones who can’t dance, with a prayer in mind.”

In addition, 20% of the proceeds, after costs, will go towards The Native Wellness Institute (@nativewellness) who provides tools, trainings, and resources to help communities heal from the lasting impacts of intergenerational and historical trauma.
